Certifications
The Quality Management System
To ensure a consistently high standard of quality in the services and products we offer, as well as the optimal management of our resources, we have voluntarily held Quality Management System certification in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard since 1998. This certification is covered by ICMQ Certificate No. 160.
Since 2006, we have also held an Authorised Economic Operator A(AEO) certificate for customs reliability, issued by the Customs Office under No. IT AEOC 11 0396.
Product certifications
In 2003, we obtained Product Certification, covered by ICMQ Certificate No. 101 PROD, for our most prestigious product lines. The Technical Product Documentation is based on the careful, thorough and documented monitoring of the raw materials used, all stages of production and the characteristics of the finished product. This documentation is available to customers from the certification body, ICMQ, and from the Company’s Sales Department.
Over the years, the following certifications have been added to this initial product certification:
1. Certificate of Conformity for the production of tuna in organic extra virgin olive oil, Certificate No. AG-BIO/912278/00, issued by RINA.
2. IFS certification, Certificate No. AG/GDO/12/99, issued by RINA.
3. BRCGS certification, Certificate No. AG/GDO716419, issued by RINA.
IFS (International Featured Standards) and BRC (British Retail Consortium) certifications
IFS and BRCGS are international standards used to assess the compliance of products and processes with food safety and quality requirements.
These standards enable large-scale retailers to ensure the quality and safety of the food products they offer to the public, particularly private-label products.
The company and the environment - ISO 14001, FOS (Friend of the Sea) and MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certifications.
Protecting the environment as a primary means of safeguarding human health—especially in a region where tourism is a vital resource—is one of the cornerstones of our corporate policy. For this reason, over the years, despite the difficulties involved, we have sought to base our activities on respect for the surrounding area and the careful management of its resources.
In recognition of the environmental protection measures we have implemented, our activities and supplies are covered by the following certifications and sustainability schemes:
- Dolphin Safe: we purchase raw materials, including tuna and tuna loins, bearing the Dolphin Safe certification. These products are caught under conditions designed to protect dolphins.
- ISO 14001 Certification: Certificate No. 02.20.8690.7543.D, issued by FQC.
- MSC certification (Certificate No. MSC-C-53908, issued by RINA) and FOS certification (Certificate No. FOS-34/17, issued by RINA) guarantee that the raw materials come from sustainable fisheries. They must originate from stocks or populations that are not overexploited, according to assessments by the FAO and the relevant competent bodies, and must be caught using selective methods that result in low levels of by-catch and discards and do not damage the seabed. Traceability must be guaranteed at every stage of the supply chain, and only adult specimens that have reached sexual maturity may be caught.
